Well, here we are. Are you ready to discuss our first of God's 800 promises in the Bible? How about starting with a verse that promotes peace and unity? Perhaps we need to remember this verse more during the Christmas holidays than at any other time.
"Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity." Psalm 133:1 KJV
What does this verse mean to you? Come on now: let's hear from a bunch of you. Who knows what healing may occur just in time for Christmas! (Comment below!)

it seems like the entire year can go by and we dont really concern ourselves to much about unity and then the holidays get here and thats what we want the most. But its not going to happen if we dont spend the entire year working towards that goal. Families are so important and like good marriages they take work. Loving one another, caring for one another, esteeming one another above ourselves, goes against our selfish selves but are the ingredients to unity. Lets look for ways to prove our love for one another throughout the year and then we will experience unity during the holidays. However it still might not be like you like it because we are dealing with people but your only responsible to do your part.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Means to me just what it says. Just think how our world would be different if all Christians in all denominations -- Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox -- got along, if we agreed to disagree on non-salvific issues and focus instead of worshiping God through Christ in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. How good and how pleasant that would be.
